Three Limoncello Cocktail Recipes

One of my favorite flavors is lemon. You may know that already if you’ve read (and tried) some of my cake recipes. I use lemon quite a lot! In cakes, in biscuits and now in cocktails as well! But under a different form! I discovered Limoncello when I studied in Turin for a year and have loved it ever since. And so I thought D’d try (and share with you) some Limoncello cocktail recipes.

Turns out, Limoncello is a great substitute for some other classic liquors used in typical summer drinks. I do love a good Aperol Spritz or Tequila Sunrise. Replace the Aperol and Tequila with Limoncello and you’ve got an amazing Limoncello cocktail that is as delicious and even more refreshing!

Limoncello Spritz

Ingredients (for one)
  • 3 ounces Prosecco
  • 2 oz limoncello
  • Soda water
  • Lemon slices and mint leaves for garnish
  1. Fill a glass half full with ice.
  2. Pour in the Prosecco and limoncello.
  3. Top with soda water to taste.
  4. Garnish with a fresh lemon slice and mint leaves.

Limoncello Spritz recipe

Limoncello Reviver

Ingredients Equipment
  • 1 oz Empress Gin
  • 1 oz Limoncello
  • ½ oz simple syrup
  • 1 oz Lillet Blanc
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • Ice
  • Slices of lemon for garnish
  • Shaker
  • Double jigger
  • Coupe glasses
  1. Add all ingredients in a cocktail shaker.
  2. Fill shaker with ice.
  3. Shake until chilled.
  4. Strain the liquid into a coupe glass over a big ice cube.
  5. Garnish with a slice of lemon.

Three Limoncello Cocktail Recipes

Limoncello Sunrise

Ingredients
  • 3 oz orange juice
  • 2 oz limoncello
  • Ice
  • Grenadine
  • Orange slices for garnish
  1. Fill a glass with ice.
  2. Add limoncello and orange juice.
  3. Pour in grenadine. Let grenadine to settle to bottom of glass.
  4. Do not stir grenadine.
  5. Garnish with orange wedges and slices.
