Look at this outfit. Wouldn’t it be perfect in a wheat field? The burgundy summer dress, the basket straw bag, the peach ombré silk scarf and the hair style. Typical. The Sounds of Music or Little House on the prairie, but with a modern twist. They did not have sassy cat eye sunglasses back then! And no wheat or prairie here, but Sloane Square. Because those colorful houses are just too cute to not be used as background!
Anyway, I had this shoot after a lovely brunch with Helen from The Helen Project at the Ivy Chelsea garden, a blogger spot apparently. After pancakes for me, waffles for her, and Chelsea Spritz for the both of us, out we were looking for photo opportunities. Lucky for us, Sloane Square is like Elizabeth Street in Belgravia. There is a photo opportunity everywhere. So we made the most of it and shot that gorgeous dress Krisp Clothing sent me!
I have been wearing this dress so many times since I got it and since this photoshoot. It was love at first sight on the website, so much so that I picked it in another color but with short sleeves this time – the dress will be in an outfit post soon too! You never have too many polka dot summer dresses!
Anyways… another piece of fashion I have been obsessed with lately is this basket straw bag from Topshop. I had first spotted it on Instagram and when it was on sale, finally made the jump. Absolutely no regret and probably best purchase ever as it was cheap and has been in many fashion posts of mine since! Not that I needed excuses to buy it… I accessorized the basket with that peach ombré silk scarf from Basma Design that you can style is so many ways!
Also, how versatile is the dress? Perfect for a blogger brunch, for an afternoon stroll in the park or in town, for the office, for drinks with friends… Although I always try to buy clothes I know I’ll wear more than once, I don’t always respect that rule and sometimes, it is just a lucky pick. Like this dress! No wonder it is a basic from Krisp Clothing. And also a bargain, just £10!
