Who is excited about the Barbie movie? I won’t say I am not. Thus, I guess all that marketing is working like a charm. I already gave in to making Barbie-inspired cocktails and now, I am in search of the perfect pink dress for the Barbie movie screening. Thankfully, as a lover of the color pink, I already have some options available.
I am going to a Barbie movie screening on July 29th with a friend. Before that, we are having a boozy brunch at Magic Hour, in Midtown. This rooftop bar is one of my favorite in New York City. I love how the decorations and displays are always so on point. Everything is made for the perfect photo opportunity, including cocktails and food.
And of course, Magic Hour changed their decorations completely ahead of the Barbie movie coming out. As a result, it is now like a pink wonderland, perfect for Insta-worthy shots and the best pre-game to a screening. I have been to this rooftop twice already, once in summer and once in winter. The decorations changed each time and I loved it.
I am so excited for the Barbie movie screening and of course, I have to dress up on theme. Both for brunch and the screening. Now, I do have the perfect pink dresses in my wardrobe already. In all shades of pink actually. Some lean more towards the pale pastel pink while others are full on fuchsia. I get that ultra-bright colors are not for everyone and that is why I included paler pink dresses in this list.
Personally, I am still hesitating between two dresses: the Strawberry Midi Dress by Lirika Matoshi or the Raspberry Poptart by Fanciful Doll. Let me know which one you prefer and that I should pick for the Barbie movie screening! It’s gonna a full day of pink, fun and cocktails; and I can’t wait!!
