Jump Back Into The 20s With Scottish Fine Soaps*

Scottish Fine Soaps

I have lived a year and a half in Scotland. I did my master’s in at the University of Edinburgh and started a grad job in Glasgow, before I quit. Finance was not my thing. Anyway… what you need to know is that during that time, I discovered the Scottish Fine Soaps Company with which I have been working with for a couple of years now!

The first time I worked with them, I tried their Willow & Bluebell Luxury Gift Set (which is now sold out). The second time, I was all about coconut and lime! I have never been disappointed, packaging or product-wise. Each set comes into a different packaging and is always curated. Luxury gift sets all come in with a body wash, a body butter, a hand & nail cream and a luxury soap. And for £12.95, I think you get good value for money.

Last time I worked with Scottish Fine Soaps, they sent me their La Paloma Luxurious Gift Set. You might have seen it on my Instagram or read about it in my January Favourites post. If not, have a look a bit further down.

Love at first sight! The colours, the packaging, that so 20s vibe. I just could not resist. I have a thing for the twenties. If you must know, my 21st birthday was a roaring twenties themed-party! A few weeks ago, Scottish Fine Soaps got in touch again and told me that they had expanded their La Paloma range to a full collection and I could not be more excited. As you guessed, I said yes. A thousand times yes!

Something even more exciting is that I was one of the first one to get my hands on the range and try it out!

Wanna know what is in the range?

As a reminder, the luxury gift set includes a body wash, body butter, hand & nail cream and a luxury soap. The range expanded to a 200ml body wash, which truly smells amazing: fruity, floral and spicy; to a stand alone hand & nail cream that comes in a super nice and luxurious packaging, a full size luxury soap that comes in a tin box whose lid has that super nice 20s print, and to a body lustre. The latter is truly the novelty of the range, along with the hand care kit that you can find on their website.

Starting with the hand & nail cream, I can only tell you how good it is. I very rarely buy hand cream because I always feel like you either need to use a lot at once, it take ages to penetrate your skin or it leaves you skin super greasy. Not here. A small amount is more than enough, it is easy to apply and penetrates your skin so quickly, leaving your hands soft and nourished. Perfect for the horrible weather we are having right now.

Scottish Fine Soaps Scottish Fine Soaps

The luxury soap in its beautiful tin is perfect when you go on holiday and to have in your carry on luggage! Also, just so you know, using soap rather than shower gel uses way less water. Think about the planet! But still feel free to try the body wash because it smells and feels amazing. And just so you know, again, Scottish Fine Soaps are totally committed to protecting the environment and is cruelty free!

La Paloma brings a touch of glamour in your life and the body lustre is ultimate proof of that! Look at that packaging: that elegant glass jar with the chic pompon. I personally use it for my legs as they are really dry and often damaged, especially after I’ve gone for a wax. Again, really easy to apply, penetrates rather quickly in your skin and leaves it super smooth. I like that you don’t need much of it each time and that the scent is quite subtle. Another win to me!

Cruelty-free, Made in Scotland, committed to the environment, affordable and luxurious, Scottish Fine Soaps got it all right. I am super grateful I got to work with them again and I really recommend you try their products because, they genuinely are super good!

This brand sounds lovely and this range in particular. Perfect timing for Mothers Day! I was especially interested in your impressions of the hand cream. I go through so many hand creams because my hands get ruined in the garden (wearing gloves doesn’t help) so I’m always on the lookout for a good one – not too greasy, not too light, moisturising but not too slippery. I will have to check them out, especially as they’re made in Scotland and cruelty-free. Beautiful pictures too, thank you for sharing! x

Aesthetically Scottish Fine Soaps is absolutely beautiful and pretty in pink. But as a cruelty free blogger it always warms my heart when I see brands who clearly state that they do not test their products on animals so Scottish Fine Soaps is definitely on my brands to try list. And the photos are beautiful especially the photo with the jewellery and books. How’s that for product placement?

  31. March 6, 2018 / 7:28 pm

Hi, this sounds like a delightful brand to try which you obviously recommend, I am sold on the packaging but sadly it would probably be no good for me with my sensitive skin.

  32. March 6, 2018 / 7:36 pm

I can relate with sometimes forgetting to buy hand cream even though – since it’s still bit cold outside – hand cream is a must! YES CRUELTY FREE! I’ve been really focusing on products that are cruelty free for makeup and it being a deciding factor to buy a product and seeing that this company is cruelty free already has my interest! I am loving the 20’s aesthetic- I’m definitely going to have to look more into this company!
