Scarves are the perfect accessory. They never disappoint. They are not like a pair of jeans that always gets smaller. It does not matter how much ice cream and chocolate you eat, a scarf will never shrink and will always be there for you. Scarves are also very versatile and perfect for both winter and summer. Not convinced? Basma Design sent me two gorgeous silk scarves and I’ll show you three ways to style them!
1. Scarf as a scarf
Thank you Captain Obvious, we would have never guessed! Well… you know, you never know! Because there is so many ways to style a scarf as a scarf. As a French knot, a knotted necklace, a necklace, a double twist, a classic loop, classic pull through, and on and on… I could carry on infinitely. In winter, I like it when it keeps my neck warm. In summer, I like it loose as an accessory or a fashion statement. Even better if it complements the color of my outfit! All shades of blue, remember?
2. Scarf as a bag accessory
Remember when I said scarves are super versatile? So much so that they don’t have to be worn as scarves! They are perfect as fashion accessory or… as bag accessory. You know, when it is too hot to wear anything more than a swimsuit or a light dress. Or when your bag is just boring and you want to dress it up. Use your scarf to turn a basic bag into something chic and original. Like I did wit Basma Design’s Peach Ombre Scarf that I have also styled in this post!
3. Scarf as a headband
And finally, the best for the end, my absolute favorite. Styling your scarf as a hair accessory, hair band or bandana. The perfect solution for an elegant hair style in just a few minutes! How, you may ask. Nothing easier! Fold the scarf in a triangle and roll it. Tie it around your head on the side then braid the length around your hair. Leave it as it is or roll it in a bun and attach at the back of your head with some bobby pins. And your good to go… on a night out or just to the beach!
What do you think? Do you often wear scarves? How do you style a scarf? Just as a scarf? Or as a hair accessory? How gorgeous are these silk scarves from Basma Design?
Thanks a lot for stopping by. I hope you liked this post.
See you soon,
Love,
Corinne
