The Best Lavender Cocktail Recipes

The Best Lavender Cocktail Recipes

Something I love doing on the weekends is making cocktails. I can tell my husband loves it too because he gets to try everything I make and basically have a bar at home at this point. Another thing I love experiencing with are floral flavors: rose, lavender, orange blossom, etc. Sometimes I just add extract or edible flowers, some other time I use flower-based gin to make some beautiful cocktails. This time, I am all about lavender cocktail recipes.

I love the flavor of lavender. In the past, I have used lavender in baking for three-tiered cakes, muffins, madeleines and cookies. The trick is too not add too much so that it does not taste like soap, but to add enough so that it is not overpowered by all the other ingredients. Lavender is also great in cocktails, mostly through the use of lavender simple syrup.
