Styling A Faux Leather Skirt*

Can I tell you something? I have never ever in my life owned or worn a leather skirt. Not that I don’t like how they look. It is just that every time I have seen a leather skirt that I liked online, it would never look good on me. Point proven when I’d actually dare order the skirt. I’d try it on and see how unflattering it looked on me. And return it. Sad.

Until now.

When Tobi contacted me for a collaboration, I had a look on their website and saw this beautiful leather skirt. Love at fight. It was so far from my style or anything I had ever worn. You read my history with leather just above. And here I was panicking. How would I style it? What would I wear with it? Would it fit me? How would it fit behind? And at the front? I have always had a bit of a complex with my tummy. Don’t ask, there is no explanation here!

But I went for it. Because sometimes you need to dare, to leave your comfort zone.

Choose the lather skirt!

And it turns out it was a great decision! I had loved it online and loved it in real life. And even better, it fit! I like how the belt highlights my waist and adds some unusual details. I was afraid the skirt would look too much but absolutely no actually. Pairing it up with a striped tee-shirt makes the outfit more casual.

I want to be more daring with my outfits, which is why I styled the skirt with this faux fur jacket. It is quite light so it is going to be perfect mid-season when the weather gets a bit warmer. A pair of ankle boots to add some glitter to the outfit and blue earrings paired up with a watch to accessorize it.

You got it, I love that skirt! Faux leather skirt
