It Is All About See-Through Fashion

Once upon a time, I would not have dared wear anything see-through. Really. The farther I could get was wearing a white top over a black bra. Not so bold indeed. Not something we could call transparent. Actually, I bought my first see through piece a few months ago. It was an embroidered mesh top from boohoo that I thought was really cool. As I had seen a lot of women and bloggers wearing such a type of top, I had decided to go for it.

This top was my first of a (not yet so big) collection of see-through fashion pieces. I got a few others tops and dresses and I could not get enough. This looks is really basic but I quite like it. The top has some lovely embroidered details: little roses and vines. I styled it with a pair of distressed jeans and some light grey high heels. I have had these heels for quite a long time and decided it was time to make use of them! They add a little chic touch to this outfit. Accessory wise, a really classic black bag, a bangle and a watch and of course, some shades!

I think this is a really summary look. Yet, it would still work at the beginning of fall but I am not sure see-through tops are comfy and warm enough for colder temperature. Maybe with another top underneath. Why not. Anyway, it was a really easy look to pull together and a nice way to wear a transparent top. At least to me. I think wearing really revealing clothes is all about confidence and also not giving a sh*t about what other might think. And it’s liberating.

This is an interesting piece! I don’t think I would wear it because I’m not exactly as fit as you, LOL. But you look really cute in this! I’m not sure the mesh tops would be super well received where I’m from but I have certainly seen them online quite a few times!

See-through clothes really looks good on you. It is a very popular style all over the world. It was indeed a bold move to step out in that dress.

I would have loved this outfit twenty years ago, but now, no, no one wants to see those parts of me on display, lol! Looks great on you though!

Lovely outfit and its very confident looking! I love the shirt although I do not have a tummy made for public views (I’ll be kind and spare the world!) I did have several sheer mesh shirts during my teenage years although I was going through a gothic phase. This is very romantic and beautiful and works so well with the rest of the outfit!

Your embroidered mesh top and the lingerie look you styled it in are beautiful!
I have worn sheer tiered Hanky Panky petticoats and lace tops over lingerie in late autumn but wore a trenchcoat over my outfit until I was indoors.
I love that see-through fashions and the underwear as outerwear looks are more in vogue than ever. It was hard to miss when Lady Gaga burst onto the scene, but since then I’ve noticed many of the most famous fashion designers have continued including sheer fabrics and the lingerie look in their collections – including S/S 2018. I’m loving seeing them on the runways.
You look fabulous rocking that Boohoo sheer top with the black bra and stressed medium blue denim jeans.

The see-through is awesome and it looks awesome on you! I’d probably make it “see-my-underneath-tshirt-through’ though ;)))

I adore this see-through fashion trend, and I can’t wait to get on board with it once the weather here in Toronto warms up. Hello, summer!

My time with see-through clothes have probably passed but I think it’s so pretty! It’s definitely perfect for summer especially when the temperature is unbearable. I love how you styled this one with the jeans and all that! Looks super comfy.

I love this top! Way to bring the 90s back! I really don’t have the confidence yet to wear something like this, but I am hoping one day I will. I think with the right makeup and accessories this can be a very classy look.

You look gorgeous in your outfit. Your top with embroidered details is so lovely and stylish. I really like it.

The top looks great on you and I like how you’ve created an outfit around it. I don’t think I would be so courageous so wear a see-through top though.

This beautiful see through embroidery top looks so gorgeous on you. Equally elegant and comfortable as summer wear.

  20. February 27, 2018 / 8:20 pm

I think this top is lovely and your overall look is very fresh! Opposite to you, I used to buy see through clothes when I was younger, but not anymore! After several pregnancies, my belly is not something I want to show 😛

See through is great design is worn properly like you did! I’m always a little afraid to wear such because I’m not that confident

I’m always looking! Thanks for the suggestions. It’s always good to have ones that are tried and true!

You look lovely in this outfit! I’m sure, though, that I would never be willing to wear see-through pieces. I already feel too exposed if I wear white or clothes made of a bit thinner fabric. 😛

  24. March 2, 2018 / 8:09 pm

I have never worn a see-through top although I own several of them, I always put them on and take them off. Way to work it.

I have to admit that I don’t really have the confidence for see through tops but I think they can look really nice, especially for nights out.

The outfit looks good on you. Like you said wearing this takes confidence and not caring what people think of you, so I applaud you for your confidence. Would I wear it? Yes, but with a cami underneath. And it all goes together with the jeans and the heels.
