I wish I could be the kind of girls that say my nails are always on point. Unfortunately I can’t. I do my nails once in a while and let it chip off until I have no choice but to remove it. Life. Yet, once in a while, I make an effort. Because it is Christmas for example. Like now. So when Leighton Denny sent me their Colour Soirée Collection, the only thing I could do is try the nail polishes straight away. Red and gold so another perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit!
If you know me, you know I love a bright color! Thus this red was perfect for me. I am loving the shade but also all the little sprinkles in it, making it even more festive! Four nails in red and one in gold for good measure, I think I got the Christmas Spirit quite right this year for once.
The set comes with a peel off base coat which will be perfect when I’ll have to remove everything. We all know how hard it is to remove sparkling nail polish. There is also a plumping top coat for protection. The packaging advised to apply two layers of nail polish but I felt like one was enough. The color looks bright and consistent and I didn’t feel like I needed to add an extra layer.
The nail polish dries pretty fast so you can add another layer rather quick making the manicure a quick one too. Let dry for at least one minute before adding a new layer though. So far it is a win for me. And I am slowly getting ready for Christmas!
