Since it is Christmas and that Christmas is a time where we all just want to indulge ourselves with delicious food, let’s carry on with another Christmas recipe on this blog! And also because I rather like baking and trying new recipes! Today, I am gonna show you how to make this double chocolate bark! Super Christmassy, very colorful and with two different chocolates for twice as much pleasure. Chocolate lover, this one is for you!
A Christmas double chocolate bark recipe
Ingredients
-400g milk chocolate
-200g white chocolate
-Christmas sprinkles
-(Red & green) Smarties
Equipment
-Chocolate molds
-Baking tray
-Baking sheets
Method
1. Start by making the chocolate shapes. In a saucepan, bring water to a simmer. Put a heat proof bowl in the saucepan. Make sure the water does not touch the bowl. Melt 200g of milk chocolate. Stir until fully melted. Pour into chocolate molds and put in the fridge for 10 minutes so that it sets.
2. Repeat chocolate melting with the remaining 200g of milk chocolate. Pour the chocolate onto the lined baking tray. With the back of a spoon, spread the chocolate over the whole surface to get a thin layer. Put in the fridge to set 10 to 15 minutes.
3. Melt the white chocolate. Remove the baking tray from the fridge and pour melted white chocolate over the milk chocolate. Spread it so that if forms a second layer. Be quick to make sure it does not melt the other layer and mixes up.
4. Remove the chocolate shapes from the mold and distribute evenly over the tray. Add green and red smarties. Scatter the sprinkles all around the chocolate shapes and smarties.
5. Place the tray bake into the fridge until it completely sets.
6. Remove from the fridge, peel off the baking sheets and break the chocolate tray into pieces.
7. Eat, give, gift, enjoy!
See?! How easy! And delicious! And the perfect gift for your colleagues, friends or just to treat your family!

Firstly, it is not Christmas yet – you are just like Flora, haha! But seriously, Corinne, this looks utterly gorgeous and fairly easy to make too, something Flora and I could do together although I doubt there’d be any left over for gifts, haha! x

I’ve never made anything like this before, but it sounds like something I would love – I don’t always crave chocolate, but when I do, I always tend to over indulge and I find that always happens at Christmas.. ??
My family and I have a huge sweet tooth, so we’re always opened to trying new treats! The recipe is so easy and requires few ingredients, which makes it affordable. I’m a chocolate fanatic so I know I’ll try this 🙂 How about the packaging you did?! So cute and will make lovely stocking stuffers!

My kids would go crazy for this! And it looks so lovely in the gift bags too! Might have to give this a try on for some Christmas gifts!
I love Christmas and this Christmas bark looks so yummy! I’ll definitely prepare it this year for my family and friends. 🙂
YAY a baking recipe! I love anything chocolate so this recipe is calling my name already! The key in the method is to make sure that the milk chocolate and the white chocolate don’t mix together when layering them on top of each other, definitely going to make a note of that for myself. These seem like the perfect thing to munch on all December! I’ve never made chocolate bark before so if/when I make this, it’ll be my first time making it!
These photos are so aesthetically pleasing! I love the look of this and it sounds so simple to make so it’s one I’ve bookmarked to try this Christmas season! Thank you for sharing!

This seems like a very simple recipe with a stunningly beautiful (and tasty) result! May I be the brash American that asks if Smarties are similar to M & M’s? 🙂

I’ve never made any type of chocolate bark, let alone a Christmas themed one but I’m extremely tempted to give this a go now! I love how you’ve bagged it up into little gift bags too, I think it would make the perfect stocking filler! xx

These look so quirky and delicious. I’ve never heard of Christmas Bark before but it’s certainly a recipe I will save. I love your photos too! I made spiced apple loaf cakes for my neighbours Christmas gifts last year. I think giving a food gift is such a lovely idea and something a little different.
