Make Candy Cane Vodka With Prezzybox *

candy cane vodka

December has officially started so I guess it is finally acceptable to go full on Christmas. However, you know me, and you’ve been reading my blog. I didn’t wait that long! Just after Halloween was over, I started posting Christmas recipes. And my latest is a candy cane vodka recipe with Prezzybox!

Prezzybox got in touch a few weeks ago for a Christmas post. There website has such a large range of gifts of all sorts. Whatever you want, whatever you need, you’ll find it. And I wanted to go about this collaboration in a different way than a gift guide or a review. I mean, what better way to review a product than actually use it, am I right?! The gift I picked is a gin infusion kit. You’ve read the title of this post. It is indeed about candy cane vodka, not candy cane gin.

But I did not feel like infusing gin with candy cane…

And I have past experience infusing vodka!

Which is how I got the idea for a candy cane vodka. Back at university, I infused Haribo pink strawberries in vodka for 24 hours before a flat warming and the result was insane! Christmas‘ main candy being candy canes, I decided to make candy cane vodka! It is the quickest and most simple recipe you’ll ever see but the kit from Prezzybox has everything you need to make it – a big infusing jar, 3 bottles, a funnel and gift tags (although I changed the cord to a more Christmassy one!)

A candy cane vodka recipe

Ingredients
-1L of vodka
-26 candy canes

Method
1. Pour the vodka in a big jar.
2. Add the candy cane.
3. Leave for 24 hours until candy canes are fully dissolved.
4. Serve in shots or use for cocktails

The color of the final infusion will depend on the color of the candy cane you pick. Mine were white and red with dominance of white, hence the pink color. If you want the candy cane vodka to be red, you either need to go for red and white candy canes or add drops of red food colouring!

What do you think? Have you ever infused vodka before? What candy did you use and what result did you get? Will you try this candy cane vodka for Christmas? Or any party you have planned?

I hope you liked this recipe. Thanks for reading.

See you soon,
Love,
Corinne

*This gin infusion kit is a gift from Prezzybox but all opinions are my own!

I’ve infused my own gin before, it’s basically vodka with a ton of juniper berries and any other botanicals you feel like, with interesting results.

Oh my gosh!! This sounds insane and looks just like strawberry milk. I absolutely love the idea of candy cane flavour but I can’t say I’m the hugest fan of vodka but I’d be more than happy to try it out as it looks scrumptious 🙂 I’ve heard a lot of things about how nice Skittles vodka is so I’d love to do that myself one day!

Wow! This sounds amazing. I bet they are sweet though. I have made lots of different vodka infusions in the past. Basil, mint, lemon, orange, spiced orange, cherry, nothing as sweet at this though. I bet it tastes lovely.

using a peppermint candy cane probably makes for delicious peppermint martinis! I just might have to try this! But I think I’ll look for all red candy canes as this did look a bit like pepto bismol.

I have not infused vodka before but I would love to. I have -like others- soaked candy and fruit in vodka but have not done anything like what you have done. This is awesome and thanks for the instructions.
