What are amongst the best things in the world? Netflix, cocktails and amazing hair, am I right?! Of course, there are loads of other great things in life. I think baking and cats are some others. Talking about baking, I have been working on my Christmas content and I can’t wait to show you what I have been up to! Talking about Netflix, have you watched Elite? It’s like a Spanish version of Gossip Girl. So, so good, I love it! Back to the point…
Yesterday, Ana and I had a day of photoshoot scheduled in Mayfair, which ended with a super fun experience at Blade Soho in well… it’s in the name… Soho! Blade Soho is the solution to a the long-awaited end to awkward and intimidating hairdressing experiences. More than often, we see going for a hair cut as a chore where we are forced to be sociable. Some people are fine with that, some others are not the talkative type. Nothing wrong with that.
Now you can either let your sociable and talkative self share your life while having your hair done and enjoying some cocktails at the same time (or non alcoholic hot drinks) or… still enjoy some booze, headphones on while binge-watching Netflix! Your choice! Each hair station has its own iPad so entertainment is guaranteed!
Upon arrival, we handed over our bags and coats for storage then headed downstairs where the cocktail bar is and where we got our hair washed. The cocktail menu changes as seasons go and we got to taste its latest addition, a cocktail called cherry kiss. My first cocktail was prosecco and pink gin based, while my second was a Cosmo. You can never go wrong with Cosmos. After the hair wash, we each received a head massage – which was divine, it felt so good – and headed up upstairs for the blow dry.
While the hair stylist was doing wonders with my shapeless flat hair, I was catching up with the first episode of Riversale series 3 and sipping my second cocktail. The show is getting darker and darker, isn’t it? I don’t do my hair often nor do I use a hair dryer. My hair is rather flat usually and when I wash it, I let it dry while commuting to work. I’ve got a few curls behind my ears but my hair is mostly straight so I went for curls that day! The perfect hairstyle to carry on with our photoshoot!
I had such a nice experience at Blade Soho! The staff was lovely, so warm and welcoming. Their concept is based on the principle of turning what you see as a chore into something enjoyable. You want to chat, you chat. You don’t want to, that’s fine to! The cocktails were amazing! A piece of advice, make sure you’ve eaten before though! Last but not least… you can bring in your dog as the salon has special arrangement for them! How amazing is that?!

What do you think of Blade Soho? Have you ever heard of the place? Liking the idea of a hair salon that is also a bar? Would you go? Bring your doggo if you do!
Thanks a lot for stopping by! Hope you liked this post!
See you soon,
